Fiji Day at Fulton Adventist University College.

October 10, 2023

Fiji Day is a national holiday in Fiji, observed on October 10 every year. It commemorates two significant events in Fijian history: 1874: The day when Fiji was ceded to Great Britain, officially becoming a British colony. 1970: The day when Fiji gained its independence from British rule.  Celebrations often take place not only in Fiji but also among Fijian communities abroad. So Fulton Adventist University College’s I-taukei staff and students prepare a program, a flag raising ceremony for all of the cultures wearing their traditional attire , cake cutting by the principal and staff, feeding the whole school with pulumokau and end with fun games that everyone enjoys.
